Maintain the office database
Set up new clients
Provide cover for other staff responsibilities as necessary
Comply with operational procedures as stated in the staff manual

Using Iris Software, Auto-mail
Creating covering letters for accounts and tax returns via Iris
Invoicing
Answering calls and manning reception ensuring cover during open hours

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join our small accountancy practice as a Trainee Apprentice Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to our team of experienced accountants, while working towards a professional accounting qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to our team of experienced accountants
Assist with the preparation of financial statements, tax returns and VAT returns
Learn and assist with bookkeeping tasks
Learn and assist with payroll tasks
Learn and assist with tax planning and compliance
Completing on-the-job training and off-the-job training to achieve a professional accounting qualification (AAT) – Day release will be granted to the candidates selected college
Qualifications and Experience:
A minimum of 7 GCSEs at grade B or above, including Maths and English
Strong interest in accounting and finance

Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Qualifications and Experience:
ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong background in tax. Will consider ATT or QBE.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a mixed tax role within an accountancy practice. Will accept corporate or personal tax experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements.
Proven experience in providing tax advisory services to owner-managed businesses.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in using tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
